Online Username and Password

To help prevent unauthorized cash transactions, optionsXpress requires all account holders to set a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for all online fund transfer requests. It is your responsibility to keep your PIN secure. If you distribute your PIN to third-parties, you assume responsibility for their actions. We recommend that you never share your PIN.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can now update it on our website after you’ve provided certain key pieces of information to confirm your identity. To help protect the security of your account, we will no longer provide or confirm your password. As always, no one from optionsXpress will ever call you and ask you to verify your password over the phone, nor will our Customer Service representatives be able to provide you with your password.
Failed Log In Attempts
To help protect your account, we now block access to your account after a set number of unsuccessful login attempts. To restore access to your account you must contact Customer Service. Once we have determined that no fraudulent activity has occurred, your access will be restored. Although this may be inconvenient for some, this is one of the best ways to protect your account from unauthorized users.
Customized Automatic Timeouts
Set your automated account logoff to a reasonable time, to help ensure that you never leave your personal information untended. Timeouts may be set from as little as 15 minutes to as great as 180.
