Xecute® Settings

How do I sign up for Xecute?
Xecute requires an active optionsXpress trading account. You can open an account anytime, online, 24/7. Before signing up for any services, you must agree to the Xecute authorization disclaimer by checking and clicking I Agree.
  1. Within the Xecute Auto-trade Services Settings area at the center of the page, click on the Select Provider & Service box and select your provider.
  2. Next, click on the Select One --> box and select the specific service that you have subscribed to (see notice below).
  3. Click on the Select Parameter box and select one.
  4. Type in the maximum Value you will commit to each trade. Examples:
    • Specific Dollar Amount: enter Value without dollar signs, i.e. 5000
    • # of Contracts: enter any number for Value, i.e. 5
    • % of Buying Power: enter Value as a number, i.e. 6
    • % of Cash Available: enter Value as a number, i.e. 7
    • % of Total Account Value: enter Value as a number, i.e. 8
  5. Press the Add Service button to submit.
  6. Wait for e-mail approval (within 1 business day).
Your new entry will now appear at the bottom of the screen as Pending, until we verify your subscription to the provider is active. In the meantime, please review the information for accuracy.

How do I change my Xecute settings?
You can change the amount, or turn on/off Next New Trade or Close-out Last Trade for each entry, by making the changes and then clicking the Update Xecute Services button at the bottom.

How do I delete my Xecute settings?
Click delete to the right of the entry, which terminates auto-trading and removes the service from the list.

What do the different service details mean?
The Xecute Profile Settings Screen gives you the flexibility to direct how you want your account auto-traded. It is important to understand how these settings work so that your account is auto-traded properly.
Service Detail Settings:
  • Publisher – The name of the publisher of your investment newsletter
  • Service – The specific alert service to which you subscribe.
  • Start Date – The date your service was approved for Xecute
  • Status – Pending or Approved. When a new service is added to Xecute the status will display as pending. Once your subscription is confirmed with the investment publisher, the service will display as approved and may start trading with Xecute.
Amount Type Settings:
  • Specific Dollar Amount – Select a specific dollar amount to be used for each recommended trade. There is no need to use a "$" sign.
  • # of Contracts/Shares – Select a specific number of shares or contracts for each recommended trade.
  • % of Buying Power – Select a specific percentage of Buying Power for each recommended trade. Margin balances will only be used for marginable securities.
  • % of Cash Available – Select a specific percentage of Cash Available for each recommended trade. Margin balances may be used if the account is margin enabled and a security with loan value increases the cash available.
  • % of Total Account Value – Select a specific percentage of Total Account Value for each recommended trade.
  • Recommended Quantity – Place an order for the quantity of stock or options recommended by the service. This parameter is not available for all services
  • Units – Place an order for a multiple of the quantity of stock or options recommended by the service. This parameter is not available for all services.

Please note: Xecute will attempt to place trades at the equity commitment level selected. If sufficient buying power is not available in the account, the recommended trade will not be placed.

Check Boxes Settings:
  • New Next Trade box – Checking this box lets Xecute know that you wish to participate in the next new trade recommended by your investment publisher. Unchecking this box lets Xecute know that you do not wish to participate in the next new trade recommended by your investment publisher.
  • Close-out Last Trade box – Checking this box lets Xecute know that you wish to participate in closing trades when these alerts are received from your investment publisher. Unchecking this box lets Xecute know that you wish to closeout your Xecute position on your own.

Please note: Your investment publisher may not offer close-out trades, check your service prior to selecting this parameter.
